Pictures with Santa

We took BayLeigh for her pictures with Santa today.  She never cried, but it was hard to get her to smile.  Thanks to my niece Emma, we were able to snap one picture with a little smile.

Thanksgiving

Halloween

Well, this blog might as well turn into a BayLeigh blog...but thats our life.

For BayLeigh's first Halloween she was a Lady Bug.  I made her costume and she was pretty cute.  It will be fun as the years go on to pick her an costume and dress her up.

BayLeigh's Blessing

BayLeigh was blessed on the 18th of September.  Jory was able to bless her in our home, and it turned out so nice.  There were a lot of friends and family there and it was a neat thing to be there for.  BayLeigh's dress came from her Grandma JoAnn and she looked so cute in it.

As you can see, she loves to chew on her hands.

Slacker!

I know, I said I would post and then the reality of having a newborn set in.
Things have been wonderful around the Killam house.  Jory and I both got new jobs (I started at the beginning of October, and Jory next week) and that has kept us pretty busy.
BayLeigh is growing and advancing so much she is 14 weeks already.  Its crazy the difference in her in just 3 months.  She smiles, and giggles.  She is rolling over now, I remember how cool we thought it was when she held her head up, and to think that in a year she will do so much more.  I hope to never forget how neat each milestone is.  We are so attached to her and so thankful to have her in our life.
Jory and I have been together for 3 years (today) and I have loved every minute of it.  He is a wonderful father and husband. BayLeigh and I are blessed to have him be in our lives.

Baby Shower Gifts

Here is the picture of all the home made onsies for BayLeigh. I also include a picture of all of her home made blankets and quilts.  We were spoiled with gifts and I am so grateful!

BayLeigh Kaye Killam

Finally after 9 months she is here!  BayLeigh was born on July 20th, 2011 at 2:20PM.  She is as healthy as can be and we are so thankful for that.  BayLeigh was breech so after two attempts to flip her (one at 37 weeks and one the day she was born at 39 weeks) we had to have a c-section, it went great so its all worked out well.
Its amazing to me how easily and fast Jory and I both fell in love with her, we are so overwhelmed with joy and we both could not be happier.  Its been fun watching Jory be a dad, and fun trying to learn how to be a parent with him, being a new mom has been one of the most exciting and nerve wrecking experiences ever. 
Our families and friends have been wonderful through all of this, we had a lot of visors and everyone helped take care of things for our new family and we are extremely thankful.

I will do my best to do updates as often as possible, just be prepared for a picture overload.

 My friend Stacey decorated the house for us, It was fun to come home to.

 First Bath at home (because getting out of bed was hard for the first couple days at the hospital Jory had to do everything, he had to teach me how to swaddle, give baths and well I only had to change one or two diapers while we were in the hospital.  He was amazing in helping with all of those things)

BayLeigh's Baby Palace

BayLeigh's room is finally done with everything, Jory calls it the baby palace.  I am really happy with how it turned out.

We (well not sure about Jory) had fun putting it all together.  I had this great idea to make the table and it took forever, it was stressful, it was lot more expensive than I thought and it took a lot of help from Jory but I think it turned out really good.  I had him spray paint the lamp also because it was an awful bronze, he was put to work. 
My friend Ali made the letter's that go perfectly, and we received a lot of shower gifts including her really cute rocking chair and it all makes it that much more perfect.
Now, we just need her to be here to enjoy her room.

Baby Showers

I was given 4 baby showers and am so grateful!  We have so many fun and needed things for BayLeigh, I am so excited.  I think she may have more clothes and shoes than Jory and I.
I have pictures from all the showers but one, the neighborhood Jory and I live in threw a shower and I regretfully did not get any photos.  I hope everyone that was a part of throwing the showers and those who came know how much we appreciate it!

 Kelli got onsies, fabric paint and sharpies and had everyone make a onsie for BayLeigh, it was so much fun to see what everyone came up with.  When I get a picture of all of them together I will post it.
